The month of the Metal Rooster begins on September 7 (or September 8 in China time) as the sun crosses 15° Virgo. We’re now in the middle of fall in the Chinese solar calendar, with Metal element at its strongest. It’s the year’s most sensitive month as the Rooster (or the Bird) is the sign opposite the Rabbit. Flying star 1 of victory and wisdom is in the center of the Feng Shui Flying Star chart, bringing new hopes and vibrancy after the heaviness of the previous month’s star 2 of illness.

The second half of the Water Rabbit year is here with the arrival of the Metal Monkey month on August 7 (or August 8 for those in parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand). The Monkey leads us into the beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere, a season ruled by Metal. In the Feng Shui Flying Star chart, star 2 of illness in the center highlights the importance of self-care this month.

July 7 takes us into the month of the Earth Sheep, the sixth month of the Water Rabbit year and the last month of summer in the Chinese solar calendar. In the Feng Shui Flying Star chart, flying star 3 of conflicts and arguments is in the center, highlighting a month that requires us to be conscious of our emotions, as tempers can easily flare.

June 6 takes us into the month of the Earth Horse. We’re now in the middle of summer according to the Chinese solar calendar, with Fire element reaching its height at the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere. In the Feng Shui Flying Star chart, the monthly stars are duplicates of the annual stars, with flying star 4 in the center, amplifying the influences of the annual stars.
