January 5 takes us into the month of the Earth Ox. It’s the end of winter and the last month of the year of the Rat in the Chinese solar calendar. Although the new year of the Metal Ox is still a month away, we can feel its influence taking over strongly in January, with the monthly flying stars mirroring the annual flying stars of the Ox year in the Feng Shui chart, offering us a preview of the year ahead.

December 7 takes us into the month of the Earth Rat. We’re now in the middle of winter in the Chinese solar calendar. It’s a month of doubles: not only are we in the month of the Rat in a Rat year, but the monthly flying stars are also duplicates of the annual stars in the Feng Shui Flying Stars monthly chart, intensifying the influences of the elements and the annual stars.

Winter begins on November 7 in the Chinese solar calendar with the arrival of the Fire Pig month. Yin now dominates, with nights getting longer and temperature continuing to drop. In the Flying Stars Feng Shui chart, star 8 of prosperity, associated with the Mountain trigram takes center place, bringing in energy of abundance and innovation.

The month of the Fire Dog begins on October 8th. We’re now in the last month of autumn in the Chinese solar calendar. Fall will soon turn into winter, with Yin continuing to take over Yang. Fire element is strongly present in October, seen in the monthly four pillars’ chart and the Feng Shui Bagua chart, with flying star 9 and the Fire trigram in the center, highlighting themes of hopes and joy influencing the month ahead.
