In 2018, the affected areas visited by annual stars 2 and 5 are the West and North sectors, respectively. A pair of metal accent tables or benches that you can move around easily makes the perfect remedy to cure the annual and monthly stars 2 and 5. With so many options out there, remember to choose only pieces that are made of solid metal. Other than glass or mirror, avoid pieces that are mixed with wood, marble, or other stones as they will not serve as a metal remedy when you add other elements such as Wood or Earth.

Classical Feng Shui consultants often recommend hanging a six-rod, all-metal wind chime as the traditional remedy to subdue Flying Star 5. Use your discretion, however, when installing wind chimes inside your residence, as they’re only effective as a Feng Shui remedy when there are movement and sound, which means, wind chimes are better as an outdoor remedy. My favorite wind chimes are those from Grace Notes and Music of the Spheres – the sound quality is just amazing and they’re harmonically tuned and handcrafted. I usually replace the wood striker with the face plate that comes with the chime to make it all metal.

Another easy Feng Shui solution to cure permanent and annual stars 2 and 5 is to put a pair of solid iron dumbbells in the affected sectors. Get a set that weighs at least 15 lb. each, depending on the square footage of the sector.
